My Red Bull Illume Shots :: The Ones That I Didn’t Submit

Editing and selecting your best shots is the hardest part of this process.

I thought I’d post a few shots that didn’t make my personal cut to Red Bull Illume. What the heck, they’re just hanging out on a hard drive doing nothing.
This shoot was produced and shot in Utah near the Goblin Valley area. I had the vision for this shoot for awhile and finally it all came together with Vinnie Coryell from Grand Junction, Colorado #movetoinspire. Vinnie is truly at home on any ledge, in the air or leaping big gaps between anything. He has competed all over the world. This all came together over two days with beautiful weather except the morning shoot which was hampered with cloud cover. I did forget one Paul Buff strobe that I was wanting to use, so I ended up shooting everything in natural light instead.

I love the desert – everything about it. So shooting parkour out here in this landscape is awesome fun. These guys are true athletes and fearless. Thanks again fellows! Now it’s time to see what happens with the judging…

Thanks for reading – more later, RR
